Several communities in Ganta have suffered another violent storm shocks just less than five months after the first storm hit the city.
According to information gathered from Ganta, over twenty four houses in and around Blegay town, Catholic community, Bo Community and the LPMC community all located in the commercial city of Ganta were highly hit by the weekend heavy storm.
As the result of the heavy storm, several occupants of these affected houses are currently without dwelling place thereby rendering them displaced.
Nimba County is one region in Liberia that is known for the frequent occurrences of national disaster especially storms. According to our Nimba County Correspondent, the City Council of Ganta in collaboration with Nimba County Disaster Committee is putting in place relevant efforts in addressing the needs of the displace people.
